Biopharma leased and renovated an old blood transfusion station in Cherkasy.

The opening ceremony of the new Biopharma Plasma Center took place in Cherkasy on July 29, 2020.
The company leased the obsolete regional blood center and turned it into a high-tech progressive European institution. They installed modern equipment and created the most comfortable conditions for both donors and employees. The new Biopharma Plasma Center will now produce safe blood components of the highest quality, and the plasma collected by the center will be used to make medicines from COVID-19.

One of the first donors was a Ukrainian singer, a well-known Cherkasy resident who supports the culture of donation – Oleh Vynnyk. A personal chair was made especially for him. From the next day, fans will also be able to donate plasma in place of the artist.

“I’m donating blood for the second time. I’m proud of it, because my father was a donor. He donated blood almost a thousand times. He was highly respected for it. And only today I realized how important and cool it is. This way I can help save someone’s life. If there is the opportunity to do, so it must be used”, – singer says.

Viktor Lyashko, the country’s chief sanitary doctor, also attended the opening of the new Biopharma Plasma Center. He didn’t hide admiration for the new center.

“Today I saw a state-of-the-art center, a modern hall where people can donate plasma, and a high-tech laboratory. There are no analogues in Ukraine. It shows one thing: Ukraine wants, can and will change. But now it remains to get together and become active donors. So that all the work done is not in vain”, – Lyashko says.
